Classes Overview

If you don’t see a class that fits your need, a class can be designed for your group or private lessons can be arranged. Private lessons are available and can be schedules to fit your schedule for $10 per hour. A basic notions kit is required for all classes. It includes; scissors, ruler or measuring tape with inches & centimeters, stitch markers, large and small darning needles, paper, and pencil.

Policies

All Classes will be held at Sweet PEA’s Yarn & Gifts. Classes are limited to 8 students, need at least 4 to hold the class. Payment in full is required at pre-registration. Materials are additional, except as noted and must be purchased at Sweet PEA’s Yarn & Gifts before the first class. With receipt, refund for registration fees will be given up to four days before the class begins. No refund after class begins. Missed classes cannot be made up; however, if we must cancel a class due to instructor illness, bad weather, etc., an additional class will be held. Most children are well behaved; but can be disruptive to members of the class. Please make day care arrangements for your children.

ONGOING SESSIONS

Stitch at Lunch

Bring lunch and drop in for social knitting or crochet. Instruction not included.
When: Every Wed.
Time: 11 am to 1 pm

Sip & Stitch

Join a great social time for gathering with friends to crochet and knit on our latest project. Instruction not included.
When: Every Thursday
Time: 6-8pm
Cost: Free

Stitch for Charity

Crochet or knit in support of Knit for Kids, Chemo caps & scarves for adults for Port Huron Hospital’s Look Good, Feel Good program and more. Kits are available for crochet or knit and yarn donations accepted.
When: First Saturday of every month
Time: 10am – Noon
Cost: Free

Dream Club

Join the fun.  A different one-skein project each month for six months starting September and going through February, 2015.  The price ranges from $20 to $60 depending on the yarn selection.  All the yarns are manufactured by Dream in Color and quantities are limited.

Ravelry 101

Learn the basics of navigating Ravelry.

Materials: Bring your laptop, IPad, or tablet, and a pen/paper for taking notes.

Time:  TBD

Cost: $15, pre-registration required

Both 101 & 102 cost is $25.

More than basics, more tips on maneuvering the Ravelry resource.

CROCHET SESSIONS

Crochet w/Suzanne

Having difficulty with a project? Come get the help you need to get it finished.
When: Friday

Filet Crochet

Learn the basics of filet crochet. Write you name in thread.  Must know basic of crochet.

Intro to Tunisian Crochet

Learn the basic stitches of Tunisian Crochet while making a washcloth sampler.

Learn to crochet in four weeks.  Get the basics for a great start on a project.

Learn the basics of entrelac while making a beautiful scarf.

Knitter’s Boot Camp

This is for the advanced beginner knitter to increase your skill level.  This goes from beginning to end with swatches to build a reference portfolio.

When: Sept 27, Oct 11, & 25, Nov. 1 & 22, Dec 6 & 20 and Jan   ; 10 am to Noon

Cost: $200 + supplies  pre-registration required (includes a 10% coupon for supplies) Homework for the first class.

Fair Isle Scarf (w/hood & pockets)
